Coming up June 21st Dennis and I will be running in the Bloody Run 10K from Lutzville Road (near UPMC Bedford Memorial) to Everett, PA. They are having a festival afterward, so you can come out and cheer for us and enjoy the Festival activities afterward! We will be making a day of it! The 21st is also Dennis and I's 11th Anniversary!
Also coming up VERY soon.... OUR FOURTH OF JULY RAFFLE!!!
We will be raffling off a Vermont Castings grill (retail value of $850.00). More info to follow soon, along with some pictures, of course!

God Bless America Festival a Huge Success

The God Bless America Festival was a HUGE success! We had a great turn out! We ended up selling 55 chicken sandwiches, and we brought in $340.00!!! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us!! We appreciate all of you!

GOD BLESS AMERICA FESTIVAL

This Saturday, May 24th from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm
PLEASE COME OUT TO THE GOD BLESS AMERICA FESTIVAL at the Everett High School (next to Allegheny Community College -Everett Campus)!!
We will be selling DELICIOUS Chicken Sandwiches (cooked on the Barbecue and served on a bun from the Oakmont Bakery) served with your choice of Cole Slaw or Baked Beans and a Drink (Pepsi product, Coke Products, Water or Lemonade) All for just $4.00! And it's for a GREAT Cause!!! Tell all your friends, family, neighbors, enemies..... we are trying to sell at least 75!!!! Can't Wait To See You There!!!!

Canoe Race

Today we changed things up a bit and rather than run, we paddled!! We raced in the Bloody Run Canoe Race from Bedford to Everett, PA. A nine mile race, we paddled hard! We gave it everything we had! We came in second to last. Our boat was not the fastest boat by any means, but we had a great time! I will have pictures up when I get home tomorrow! I wanted to get a video, but was afraid that my phone would end up floating down the river!
This puts us at 20 miles, as you can see to the right! We are shooting for $100 per mile in sponsors, and are not quite where we need to be right now, so if you would like to sponsor us please let me know! You can contact me by clicking on my name to the right. You may have to scroll down a bit! We are looking at this being a 15 day trip, in which case we need $50 per minute that we are there!
Also, this is coming Saturday is going to be HUGE!!! We will be at the God Bless America Festival in Everett, PA, running a Chicken Bar-B-Q booth! We will be there until 6pm. PLEASE COME OUT AND ENJOY A NICE CHICKEN DINNER!!!!!

Tarentum 5K

Denny and I ran today, it was an incredibley difficult run. It was all downhill the first half and all uphill on the way back. Denny pretty much kicked my butt! We both shaved about 5 and a half minutes off our last time! So I guess it was a GOOD day!

No race today. We have the following races scheduled:

May 10th- Habitat for Humanity 5K (224 Tarentum/Culmerville Road)
May 17th- 9 mile Canoe Race Bloody Run Canoe Classic (Everett, PA)
June 21st- Bloody Run 10K (Between Bedford and Everett, PA)

If you know of any other 5K, 10K, or even an interesting race involving something other than running, Please let us know! Also, if you would like to join us on a race, or run a race in your area and collect sponsors for us, please contact us for more information. It is really quite fun and very rewarding! At most of the 5Ks they offer 5K walks also, so don't let the running thing stop you!

I am working on sponsoring a 5K around either Fourth of July or Labor Day, if you are interested in helping or participating, please feel free to contact me at any time!
